Danceology has a wide repertory of classes for you to choose from, from classical and disciplined ballet to street hip hop and everything in between. We are always looking for any new positive trend or development that could benefit our dancers. We strive to continue to innovate and update our pedagogy in order to stay on top of the industry. Our goal is to create amazing dancers with the potential for professional careers if they so chose without making them sacrifice a full childhood. Modern dance is a more relaxed, free style of dance in which choreographers use emotions and moods to design their own steps, in contrast to ballet's structured code of steps. It has a deliberate use of gravity, whereas ballet is rigid in its technique.
Refers to dance styles primarily danced to Hip-Hop music or that have evolved as part of Hip-Hop culture, our policy includes modesty on every level.
Tap is a form of dance characterized by a tapping sound that is created from metal plates attached to both the ball and heel of the dancer's shoe. These metal plates, when tapped against a suitable surface, create a percussive sound and as such tap dance is both a form of dance as well as the act of playing a musical instrument.
Modern jazz dance is frequently influenced by other dance styles such as Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Hip - Hop . In turn, many other dance styles are influenced by jazz dance.
As in most forms of dance, technique is the foundation for all modern jazz dance movement. In particular, jazz dancers benefit from a sound working knowledge of ballet technique and, consequently, jazz dance curriculum commonly includes ballet training.
